March for Justice
August 15th, 2006, Missoula, Montana
Missoula County Courthouse Lawn, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

We Can Stop Impaired Driving!

A just society recognizes the dignity of every human being. Expressions of that dignity include driving responsibly and holding others responsible who do not and who cause a loss of life or substantial injury. This rally has two objectives: (1) calling attention to the need for responsible measures to prevent needless highway fatalities and (2) responsible action when they occur. In 2002, 42,815 people were killed on our highways.

Speakers

The Reverend Bruce Henne, St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Idaho Falls, Idaho

Pat and Barb Tucker, Idaho Falls, mother and aunt of Cady Tucker, killed by a driver found 100% responsible for her death but NEVER charged or given a traffic citation

Don Ferrel, Billings, Montana, whose wife was killed on August 19, 2004, in a head-on caused by a drowsy driver-charges are being considered

Kerry Good, Missoula, Montana, whose four family members were killed in 2000 in a fatal head-on collision caused by an impaired driver who served just 21 days for each life lost

Jack Williams from the Montana Department of Transportation

Please join us to work to raise awareness of the dangers of driving while impaired. Impairment is not caused only by drinking or drugs but a myriad of other behaviors that seriously degrade situational awareness: driving in violation of a driver's license restriction; driving while drowsy, medically unfit, watching a DVD (a collision was caused by this recently in Alabama, with labile (out of control) blood sugar levels; or otherwise seriously impaired.

Each of us deserves safer highways. Cady Tucker and others killed by unsafe highway drivers who cause head-on and other fatal collisions deserve the dignity of justice. There is one more year in the statute of limitations for justice for Cady.

Please join our March on Missoula (MOM) for Justice on August 15, 2006, at 4 p.m., the fourth anniversary of the horrific three-car pile-up, resulting in Cady's death.

Transportation will be provided. Please contact Pat Tucker, 569-4157, email at cadytucker@hotmail.com, or visit the PAID organization website at peopleagainstimpaireddrivers.org.
Live music and food will be provided.
